ORLANDO – Following its 16th NCAA Regional appearance last season, the UCF women's golf program will begin the 2022-23 season ranked No. 30 in the Golfweek Preseason Rankings.
The Knights are the only team from the American Athletic Conference listed in the preseason rankings.
Coming off a strong 2021-22 season, UCF opens the season at the Cougar Classic hosted by College of Charleston Sept. 12-13 at the Yeamans Hall Country Club in Charleston, South Carolina. The Knights will face a stacked field in the Cougar Classic, including No. 11 Florida State, No. 21 Kentucky and No. 23 Ole Miss among several other talented teams.
The Black and Gold will host the annual UCF Challenge in its lone home tournament, which will take place from February 5-7. This event will occur at the Eagle Creek Golf and Country Club.
The 2022-23 AAC Tournament Championship will take place from April 16-18, in Brooksville, Florida. The Women's Golf NCAA Regional Championship will take place on May 8-10, and the NCAA National Championship will be held in Scottsdale, Arizona, from May 19-24.
