Knights Battle to 1-1 Tie at LSU

BATON ROUGE, La. – The UCF women's soccer team battled to a 1-1 draw on Sunday afternoon against LSU.

After the Tigers committed a foul, Katie Bradley got the scoring going with a beautiful strike on a free kick right outside the penalty area to put the Knights up 1-0 in the 30th minute.

The Knights outshot the Tigers 6-4 in the first half.

LSU knotted things up in the 46th minute on a goal from Jaden Humbyrd.

After trading possession for the next 35 minutes, Caroline DeLisle made an incredible full extension save to keep things knotted up at one with 5:50 remaining.

The 1-1 score would stick as the Knights would earn a hard-fought draw on the road.

Thoughts with Head Coach Tiffany Roberts Sahaydak
"I'm really proud of the team today," Said Roberts Sahaydak. "I believe we did a lot of things well especially in the attack. We possessed the ball and created a lot of chances that unfortunately we didn't put away, but that's something to think about going forward and somewhere we can grow. Carol made an unbelievable save today. All of our game changers coming off the bench played great. We'll keep our heads up and refocus for our next match".
