Dourado Named to United Soccer Coaches Watch List

ORLANDO – UCF men's soccer junior Lucca Dourado has been named as a Player to Watch by the United Soccer Coaches organization ahead of the 2022 season.

Dourado led the Knights in scoring last year, recording 13 goals and tallying two assists, giving him a career high 28 points on the campaign. At one point, he led the entire NCAA in scoring, earning two multi-goal matches within the first five contests of the 2021 season.

Dourado was highly decorated during his 2021 campaign, earning plenty of awards along the way. He was named Secon Team All-East Region, along with being unanimously named to The American's First Team All-Conference. At season's end, Dourado was ranked 10th nationally in goals scored and 15th in points. He was third in the country in game-winning goals, which he scored six of on the year.

Another member of the Black and Gold also made a watch list. Gino Vivi was named to the midfielders watch list, despite being a forward, earlier this month.

The watch lists are being released for the first time this season by the Division I All-America Committees to promote college soccer leading up to the official start date for the regular season later this month. The lists include United Soccer Coaches All-Americans and first or second team All-Region players from 2021, who are scheduled to return for the 2022 season.
