ORLANDO – UCF goalkeeper Caroline DeLisle has been named American Athletic Conference Preseason Goalkeeper of the Year and a member of the Preseason All-Conference Team, the league announced on Tuesday. Joining her on the Preseason All-Conference Team are her two teammates, Kristen Scott and Darya Rajaee.
DeLisle was named the Preseason Goalkeeper of the Year prior to last season and went on to win AAC Goalkeeper of the Year after her stellar season that saw her put up a career-high saves for a save percentage of .812. She also had five clean sheets to bring her career total to 18.
Kristen Scott returns to the Black and Gold after being named First Team All-Conference last season. She netted a career-high 10 goals which led the team. She also led the team in points with 23.
The 2021 AAC Midfielder of the Year, Darya Rajaee returns after starting all 16 matches last season. She logged 1360 minutes last season as well as netted three goals.
The 2022 Preseason Coaches Poll was also announced, where the Knights were picked third and received one first-place vote.
