ORLANDO - The UCF Athletics Association announced Wednesday a partnership with FloGrown to be the official sponsor of #UCFansWear. As part of the partnership, FloGrown will produce an official game day shirt for each home game this season and the official Knightmare student section shirts for football and basketball season.
FloGrown, an Orlando based company, was founded in 2011 by UCF alum Jesse Welch '10. FloGrown was born from a love for Florida and the unique environment that it offers.
"We get to live where the world vacations and we want the UCF brand to help celebrate the Florida lifestyle. From the sunshine to the beaches to the palm trees, this partnership will help produce UCF apparel authentic to the Sunshine State," said UCF vice president and director of athletics Terry Mohajir. "In current times with supply chain issues, it's great to have an Orlando based company to help deliver on our retail demand."
The Knightmare and official gameday shirt designs for the first September home games will be unveiled later this month and will be available in men's and women's styles. The shirts will be available for purchase at the online team store, on-campus at the Barnes & Noble locations, in-stadium on game day and the UCF Knights section of the FloGrown website.
#UCFansWear started in 2016 as a way to unify what color Knights fans wore to each home game.
