ORLANDO – Alex Freeland has been named a 2022 Cape League All-Star.
Freeland won a Cape League Championship last summer with the Brewster Whitecaps and is leading the Whitecaps again hitting .253 with five homers, 12 RBI, four doubles, and 14 runs scored.
The All-Star Game will be live-streamed on WCAI and the Cape and Islands NPR stations on July 23. It can also be seen the following day on NESN at 9 PM ET.
The Cape Coral, FL native started 40 games for the Knights in 2022 hitting .282 with 11 homers, 38 RBI, and six stolen bases.
