13 Knights Earn All-Academic Honors

NEW ORLEANS – The UCF track and field team had 13 student-athletes earn all-academic honors from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Wednesday.
Rayniah Jones is an all-academic athlete for the third straight year. Latasha Smith and Selena Wright earned the title for a second consecutive year. Joining them are Adrienne Adams, Charlotte Crook, Beyonce Defreitas, Brittany Floyd, Leiya Green, Chloe Hill, Ciara Holback, Kiara Lee, Natalia Madison, and Jasmine Scott-Kilgo.
The 13 were recognized for a combination of excellence athletically and academically. To qualify for the award, each student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher and have met one of the following athletic standards:

  • For the indoor season, a student-athlete must have finished the season ranked in the top 96 in any championship individual event or in the top 48 in any championship relay event for the most recent indoor season, certifiable by their place on final season performance lists on TFRRS.org.
  • For the outdoor season, a student-athlete must have participated in any round of the NCAA Division I Championships (including preliminary rounds).
