ORLANDO – A few weeks after becoming the 119th Women's British Amateur Champion, and first in UCF history, Jess Baker is back on the course competing in the 150th Open at St. Andrews this week.
Baker will compete in the Celebration of Champions event on Monday, July 11, at 10 a.m. ET. The field will consist of The Open's Champion Golfers, women's major champions, male and female amateur champions, and golfer with a disability champion.
The Celebration of Champions event is a four-hole challenge with participants playing the first, second, 17th and 18th holes of the Ole Course.
Baker will be paired with Anna Nordqvist, the 2021 Women's British Open Champion and 2009 LPGA Champion, and PGA star Collin Morikawa. Morikawa won The Open Championship in 2021, defeating Jordan Spieth by two strokes and won the 2020 PGA Championship by two strokes over Paul Casey and Dustin Johnson.
