Women’s Golf Adds Summar Roachell as Assistant Coach

ORLANDO – UCF Women's Golf head coach Emily Marron added to her staff on Friday, announcing the addition of Summar Roachell as the team's Assistant Coach.

Roachell comes to UCF from Arkansas, where she has spent the last year as an Assistant Golf Professional at Blessings Golf Club in Fayetteville. Prior to that, she spent four years on the LPGA Symetra Toura from 2017-2021.

"I am so excited to add Summar to our coaching staff," said Marron. "Her career at Arkansas speaks for itself and she will be able to relate that experience with our players. Her passion to coach really stood out to me and we are excited to give her the opportunity to start her coaching career here at UCF."

Roachell was a four-year standout at the University of Arkansas from 2013-2017, where she played in over 35 events with the Razorbacks while earning a plethora of off-course accolades, including being named to the SEC Community Service Team in 2015, 2016 and 2017, and being named an eight-time university honor roll recipient.

While with the Razorbacks, Roachell appeared in four NCAA regional championships and three NCAA national championships.

Roachell also has experience as an assistant coach as she served in the role from 2018-2019 at Conway high school in Conway, Arkansas. She replaces former Associate head coach Steve Sims, who recently accepted a head coaching position with UTEP.

"I'm very grateful for the opportunity to join Coach Marron and the UCF women's golf program," said Roachell.

"I am excited to bring my knowledge and experience to help us continue to compete at the conference and national level. An incredible foundation has already been set, and I can't wait to come in and continue to mold the future of UCF Women's Golf. Charge On!"
