ORLANDO – The American Athletic Conference announced its postseason awards on Thursday and three UCF men's tennis players earned four spots on the American Athletic Conference All-Conference Teams, the league announced.
Trey Hilderbrand was named to both the All-Conference singles and doubles teams. The junior from San Antonio, Texas was 8-10 overall in singles this season and 12-8 when paired up with a teammate. The honor marks his third All-Conference doubles appearance and his first singles appearance.
Bogdan Pavel and Lleyton Cronje join Hilderbrand on the All-Conference Doubles Team. As partners in nine contests, Pavel and Conje were 6-3 overall, including a 6-3 win over No. 14 Stanford on Jan. 31 and a 7-5 win over No. 18 Michigan on March 5.
The honor marks the third All-Conference Team appearance for Pavel, while Cronje makes his first AAC All-Conference appearance. The Pretoria, South Africa native also won the Atlantic 10 Performer of the Year and was named to the All-Atlantic 10 First Team during his sophomore season at VCU in 2020-21.
