UCF men's basketball guard Tyem Freeman was a key contributor off the bench in his first season in the black and gold in 2021-22.
The 6-foot-6 JUCO transfer appeared in all but two games on the season, starting one, but it was off the bench that he did most of his damage as he finished second on the team with a 57.0 field goal percentage (53-for-93) and was third on the team with 30 offensive rebounds (58 total). Freeman also knocked down 84.8 percent (28-of-33) of his free throw tries, good for second among Knights.
His best game of the season came at Temple on Dec. 15, where he posted 14 points, seven rebounds and three assists, all career-highs at the time, to help lead UCF to a 65-48 victory over the Owls.
The Springfield, Missouri native tallied double-digit points five times on the year and averaged 5.0 points, 2.1 rebounds and 0.9 assists per game.
