ORLANDO, Fla. – UCF Baseball (26-17, 10-5) is set to take on North Florida (18-26) in Jacksonville for a midweek matchup on Tuesday night.
The two teams have faced off four time already this season, splitting the series two wins apiece.
UCF is coming off of a big series win this past weekend over Tulane. For the first time in his career, Gephry Pena hit home runs in back to back games. His three-run shot in game three during the bottom of the fourth, set the tone for the rest of the game. His performance landed him on The American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll
Ben Vespi's dominant performance on Friday night landed him the AAC Pitcher of the Week. Throwing a career high seven innings of two-hit baseball and striking out a career high seven Tulane batters was pivotal to the Knights 2-1 victory.
The rubber match between the Knights and Osprey will take place at Harmon Stadium at 6:05 p.m. and can be seen on ESPN+.
