Highlights: Darius Johnson 2021-22 Season

UCF men's basketball guard Darius Johnson was electric in his rookie season with the Knights in 2021-22.

Johnson was the only rookie on the team, and just one of four Knights, to have appeared in all 30 regular-season games for UCF last season.

The Boyds, Maryland native started in 13 games, including the last 11, averaging 8.6 points, 4.9 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game during that stretch.

A two-time American Athletic Conference Freshman of the Week and an AAC All-Freshman team honoree, Johnson was second on the team with 89 assists, third with 30 steals and fourth with 26 made threes on the season.

He was just the seventh Knight to earn conference all-freshman honors in the program's Division I history, joining Isaiah AdamsB.J. Taylor, Adonys Henriquez, Keith Clanton, Marcus Jordan, and A.J. Rompza.

Johnson's best game of the season came versus Tulane on Jan. 22, where he notched a career-high 17 points, seven rebounds, and four assists in win over Green Wave.
