Women's Tennis Selection Show to Air Monday Night

ORLANDO – The No. 22 ranked UCF women's tennis team will find out more about its future and where the team is headed for the postseason on Monday night as the Knights will be tuned into the NCAA Selection Show, which airs at 6:30 p.m. ET on Monday, May 2, on NCAA.com.

The women's tennis team will be hosting a selection show watch party inside of the suites of John Euliano Park to see where they're headed together.

Before falling just short to South Florida in the AAC Championship in Tulsa, Oklahoma on April 21, the Knights had won eight straight contests and 11 of their last 12. The team was ranked as high as No. 10 on Jan. 26 this season and currently sit at 22 in the nation.

The Knights are 15-7 overall to this point in the campaign and have five wins against top 50 teams under their belt.

The Black and Gold have been to seven NCAA Tournaments as a team in their history, including the last three straight under head coach Bryan Koniecko (excluding the COVID-shortened 2020 season). If they get in this season, it will move their streak to four straight.

Last season, for the first time in program history, UCF earned a national seed in the NCAA Tournament as the No. 9 Knights hosted the first and second rounds tournament at the USTA National Campus.

UCF went on to advance to the sweet 16 before falling to then No. 18 Duke, 4-3.

If the Knights advance, the 2022 championship will be at the Khan Outdoor Tennis Complex in Champaign, Illinois, from May 19 to May 28.
