Lamoureux, Piddon Named Co-Golfers of the Week

ORLANDO – Coming off a win at the Brickyard Collegiate, two Knights in Tunrada Piddon and Alyssa Lamoureux, have been named American Athletic Conference Co-Golfers of the Week, the league announced on Thursday.

The Golfer of the Week award marks the second of Piddon's career as she also earned the honor back on Feb. 16, and she has also twice been named AAC Golfer of the Month (October 2021 and October 2019). Lamoureux, meanwhile, picks up the distinction for the first time in her career.

"It's great that Pat and Alyssa can share this honor," said head coach Emily Marron. "They have both been working really hard and have big goals for themselves and our team this season. Both are true leaders on our team."

The duo both tied for second place to help lead UCF to a team tournament title and a 16-stroke victory at the Brickyard Collegiate from April 4-5.

Piddon turned in rounds of 74-69 to end the Brickyard Collegiate just a stroke behind first place at 1-under 143. She was one of just five players in the field of 80 to shoot a round in the 60s on the difficult par-72, 6,171-yard course that saw a field stroke average of 76.90 during the tournament.

Lamoureux carded rounds of 73-70 to close out at 1-under 143 as well. Her 29 pars over 36 holes paced the 80-player field.

Thursday, April 7 also marks the Day of Giving for UCF and UCF Athletics. To donate a gift of any amount, click here.
