UCF Topples Tulane, 6-1

New Orleans, LA.  – No. 54 UCF men's tennis topples No. 58 Tulane by a score of 6-1 on Sunday, April 3, in New Orleans, LA.
 
In doubles, the Knights started down on all courts, but it did not matter as Lleyton Cronje and Cooper White came back to defeat Fynn Kuenkler and Luka Petrovic with a score of 6-3 on court two and on court three Alan Rubio and JC Roddick came up victorious over Luc Hoeijmans and Rafael De Alba by a score of 7-5 to clinch the doubles point.
 
No. 35 Trey Hilderbrand and Bogdan Pavel were facing Charlie Barry and Benji Jacobson and were down 3-5 but came back to tie it at six all. The match then went unfinished in a tiebreaker.
 
In singles action, No. 78 Trey Hilderbrand came out strong to get the first win on court four over Alex Bancila, 6-3, 6-2 while on court one Lleyton Cronje overcome Luc Hoeijmans 6-3, 6-3, giving UCF the 3-0 lead.
 
Then Bogdan Pavel saw the likes of Fynn Kuenkler on court two and was able to clinch the match, 4-0, with a 6-4, 6-2 win.
 
On court three, Alan Rubio was fighting hard but fell 4-6, 4-6 to Luka Petrovic as the Green Wave earned its first point.
 
Quinn Snyder then came out on top with a 6-4, 6-4 win over Charlie Barry on court six.
 
JC Roddick dropped his first set but turned it around in the second to force a super tiebreaker against Rafael De Alba on court six. Roddick was able to get the edge, winning 3-6, 6-2, 10-8.

The Knights continue conference play on the road with a match at Tulsa on Friday, April 8, and at Memphis on Sunday, April 10.
