ORLANDO – The final regular season tournament of the season is about to be underway for the UCF Women's Golf Team as head coach Emily Marron and her squad are in Macon, Georgia for the Brickyard Collegiate taking place from April 4-5.
The Black and Gold will open play on Monday with 36 holes before wrapping up on Tuesday with a final 18-hole round. The course features a par-72, 6,171-yard layout.
UCF will tee off on hole one at 9:00 a.m. Monday morning, alongside Sacremnto State, Mercer and Kennesaw State. Fans can follow along with scores live on golfstat.com here.
"This week is all about gaining confidence for postseason," said Marron. "We like Brickyard's course because it will prepare us well for the AAC Championship at Pinehurst (April 17-19)."
The Knights will face off against host school Mercer, Sacramento State, FAU, Central Arkansas, Gonzaga, FGCU, Troy, Chattanooga, Daytona State, Kennesaw State, Delaware, UNC Asheville and fellow AAC foes Memphis in the event.
Marron will roll with a lineup consisting off Tunrada Piddon, Zoe Allaux, Camille Banzet, Jess Baker and Alyssa Lamoureux, with Ana Laura Collado playing as an individual.
The Knights have enjoyed a solid season to this point in the campaign, posting five top-five finishes (out of eight events), including a win at the Evie Odom Invitational back in October. The Knights sit just outside Golfstat's top-25 teams in the nation heading into the week at No. 30 overall.
The Brickyard Collegiate will serve as the final regular season event for the team as the Knights prepare for the conference tournament in Pinehurst, North Carolina from April 17-19.
