ORLANDO – The No. 17 UCF softball team is set for its final home series of the regular season, hosting Tulsa in a three-game set from Friday to Sunday. The weekend doubles as a chance to honor the Knights' six seniors, Denali Schappacher, Gianna Mancha, Justene Molina, Kama Woodall, Damaria Cannon and Cassidy Cangemi.

The Black and Gold recently brought back a series victory from Houston, taking two of three games from the Cougars. The Knights dropped the final game of the series in a wild series of events, but still managed to set a program record 11 straight wins to open conference play, topping the 10-0 record to begin the 2004 Atlantic Sun slate. UCF is batting .295 as a team in conference play this season, while opponents are hitting at just a .139 clip. UCF's pitching staff has posted a remarkable 1.01 ERA in league play, while opponents have psoted a 4.45 mark.

The Knights are one win away from reached the 40 victory mark this season, a feat that has been accomplished seven times in UCF's 20 previous seasons. The Black and Gold won 41 games last season and have a chance to top that with six more regular season games plus postseason. The most wins in a single season was back in 2015 when the Knights went 50-9, winning the American Athletic Conference regular season and tournament. UCF made it to the final of the Tallahassee regional in the NCAA Tournament, falling to No. 9 FSU.

Jada Cody enters the weekend in sight of Stephanie Best's single season RBI record, needing six more to tie and seven to top the 66 she posted in 2003. Cody collected three RBI on a home run in game three of the Houston series.

Mancha and Woodall are among the best 100 pitchers in the country, ranked nationally for their low ERAs. Mancha has posted a 1.60 ERA thus far, good enough for 37th in the nation while Woodall has a 2.01 ERA, placing her 81st. Both are in the hunt to win 20 games this season, as Mancha has 17 and Woodall has 14.

UCF trails the all-time series against Tulsa by a count of 21-27, dropping six of the last seven contests. All of the last seven games have been on the road, with the last time the Golden Hurricane came to Orlando being in 2018. UCF has won the last two home series against Tulsa, with all six contests decided by three runs or less.

Haley Morgan and Celeste Wood lead the team at the plate, as Morgan is batting .323 with four homers, both leading the team. Wood leads Tulsa in RBI and extra base hits, earning 32 and 17 respectively. In the circle, Samantha Pochop leads the team in innings pitched (143.1), strikeouts (139) and wins (10).
