Brooks Earns Player of the Week Honors

ORLANDO, Fla. – On Monday afternoon, the American Athletic Conference announced its Player and Pitcher of the Week recipients for the week of April 11. UCF's Michael Brooks was named as the Player of the Week after his stellar week in Wichita, Kansas. The Knights finished the week 3-1, improving to 8-4 in AAC play. This is the first time Michael Brooks has earned Player of the Week honors this season.

Michael Brooks started three of the four games this week for the Knights, appearing in all four. He finished the week 5-for-9 with a triple and two home runs. Brooks tallied six RBIs and drew five walks, while adding two stolen bases. His .556 average led the team for the week, and he also posted a slugging percentage of 1.444 on the week.
 
UCF will be back in action this weekend as they host Tulane for a battle of first place teams. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m. from John Euliano Park.
