BROOKSVILLE, Fla. – The 2022 American Athletic Conference Men's Golf Championship is in the books and a trio of Knights led the charge for UCF in the tournament as Teddy Tetak, Johnny Travale and Egor Eroshenko all finished inside the top 10 to propel UCF to a fourth place finish at Southern Hill Planation in Brooksville, Florida on Sunday.

In fourth place, UCF finished 25 strokes behind AAC Champions SMU, who shot 825(-29). UCF's three-day score of 287-287-284=858(-6) was nearly two strokes lower than the tournament average. Taking home individual medalist honors was SMU's Nathan Petronzio at 203(-13).

For UCF, senior Teddy Tetak was a consistent force for the Knights all weekend long. After opening with rounds of 70(-2) and 69(-3), the Limbach, Slovakia native closed out the tournament with a 1-under 71, tying him for seventh place overall at 210(-6).

Senior Johnny Travale and sophomore Egor Eroshenko both tied for ninth despite taking two different paths to the top 10 finish. Eroshenko was steady all weekend long, shooting 70-71-70 to finish at 211(-5), while Travale didn't do much in the first two days, posting a 1-over 73 on Friday and following it up with an even 72 on Saturday.

But he was a stellar in the final round.

The Hamilton, Ontario native knocked down a team-high seven birdies to shoot 6-under 66 in the final round, bringing his total to 211(-5). He was one of just three golfers all tournament to hit the 66 mark, and the only one to do it on Sunday.

Rounding things out for head coach Bryce Wallor's squad were seniors Clement Charmasson and Markus Braadlie. Charmasson had his worst day of the weekend, posting a 5-over 77 after a nine-stroke seventh hole derailed his afternoon. Braadlie, meanwhile, was filling in for senior Luis Carrera as the team's lone substitution of the tournament. The first-year Knight finished at 8-over with an 80 score.

The Knights will find out more about their future in the coming weeks as teams and individuals participating in the 2022 NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championships will be announced as part of GOLF Channel's College Central coverage taking place on May 4 at 4 p.m. ET.
