ORLANDO, Fla. – The UCF men's tennis team will travel to New Orleans on Sunday, April 3, to take on Tulane at the City Park Tennis Center.
The Knights will play on the road for the first time since February.
UCF opened conference play last weekend at home where it faced No. 38 SMU, falling in a close match.
Since pairing up in doubles, Trey Hilderbrand and Bogdan Pavel are 5-0 at the number one doubles spot and 3-0 against ranked opponents. The duo jumped back into the ITA rankings, reaching No. 35.
In singles, Alan Rubio has continued to thrive as he is on a five-match winning streak, which is the longest for the Knights this season.
THE FIELD
THE GREEN WAVE
No. 58 Tulane is 7-10 on the season and 4-4 when playing at home. The Green Wave had a notable win over No. 32 Tulsa, 4-2, Michigan State, 4-0, and Penn State, 4-3.
UCF and Tulane have had one common opponent so far this season. The Knights were able to overcome Louisville during the ITA Kickoff in Orlando, Florida while the Green Wave fell 0-4 to the Cardinals.
The two teams competed for the first time in 2011 and Tulane leads the short all-time series, 6-4, over UCF, but the Knights have won the last two matchups.
