ECU Sweeps UCF on Saturday, 10-1

ORLANDO, Fla. – ECU baseball (22-15, 7-2) scored eight runs in the top of the fifth on Saturday to complete the sweep of UCF baseball (21-15, 5-4), 10-1. Kyle Kramer was charged with the loss, falling to 0-3 on the season after working two innings and allowing two runs.
 
Cameron Crain was given the start on Saturday afternoon, working two innings of one-hit baseball for the Citronauts. Kyle Kramer entered in the third, working two innings of three-hit baseball, allowing two runs and striking out three. 
 
ECU struck first in the fifth, scoring four runs on two hits, before hitting a grand slam to cap off an eight-run inning. The Pirates added two more in the top of the sixth to extend their lead to 10-0. In the bottom half of the sixth, Noah Orlando hit his third home run of the season, a solo shot to left field to get the 'Nauts on the board. 
 
Ruddy Gomez and Jacob Marlowe both recorded nearly two innings, allowing one hit each, while Gomez struck out three. UCF pitchers recorded nine strikeouts on the afternoon.
