ORLANDO – Preparing for their third tournament of the spring and seventh event this year, the UCF women's golf team is in Gainesville, Florida for the annual Lady Gator Invitational, taking place from March 5-6.
The invitational takes place at the par 70, 6,002-yard Mark Bostic Golf Course, with teams teeing off in a shotgun start beginning at 8:30 a.m. each day. Teams will play 36 holes on Saturday before wrapping up with 18 holes on Sunday. Fans can follow along with scores live on golfstat.com here.
The 15-team field consists of No. 18 Florida (host), No. 2 Oklahoma State, No. 13 Tennessee, No. 17 Ole Miss, Campbell, Denver, ETSU, FIU, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Michigan State, Mississippi State, NC State and UCF.
"[Mark Bostic golf course] is always one of the most challenging courses we play all year," said head coach Emily Marron. "You have to be patient and disciplined to score well here. We have an experienced team who have played well here in the past and we will lean on that knowledge this week."
The Knights checked in at No. 27 in the country according to Golfstat this week and were receiving votes in the latest WGCA Top 25 Poll.
The UCF lineup at the Lady Gator Invitational will consist of Piddon, Zoe Allaux, Camille Banzet, Ana Laura Collado and Alyssa Lamoureux.
