ORLANDO – The UCF track and field team heads out for the first time this outdoor season to compete at the Pepsi Florida Relays.
 
The collegiate events will take place over two days, starting Friday at 11 a.m. with the hammer throw. Track events will start later that evening at 5:00 p.m. with the 1500-meter race.
 
Saturday's track events kick off at noon with the 100-meter hurdles prelims while the triple jump begins at 1 p.m.
 
Portions of Friday and Saturday's events will be streamed via SEC Network+. Friday's stream begins at 5 p.m. while Saturday's stream begins at 1:30. Live results will also be available.
 
UCF looks to take its outdoor season success on the road after back-to-back home meets.
 
At the Knights Invite, Adrienne Adams opened with not only a personal best, but a school record in discus. Her third attempt of the day landed at 17691/53.69m. She took home the event title and was named the American Athletic Conference Field Athlete of the Week.
 
UCF finished the weekend with five event titles. In addition to Adams in the discus, Beyonce Defreitas won the 200-meter race on the first day as well. I'Asia Wilson, Ciara Holback, Beyonce Defreitas and Danielle Bess brought home the 4x100 relay victory. Rayniah Jones then made her outdoor season debut by winning the 100-meter dash and 100-meter hurdle.
