FORT WORTH – The accolades continue to roll in for Rayniah Jones as her 60-meter hurdles win was awarded the 2022 American Indoor Most Outstanding Track Performance.
Jones, who was also named The American's Most Valuable Performer after sweeping the 60-meter dash, 60-meter hurdles and 200-meter dash finals, captured the 60-meter hurdles title with a UCF and AAC meet record time of 7.90. She moved into fourth on the indoor performance list to qualify for the NCAA Indoor Championship.
The awards are presented to student-athletes who recorded the highest-ranking marks on the NCAA performance list during the American Indoor Track & Field Championships this season.
Jones returns to action on March 11 as she and Latasha Smith compete at the 2022 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships. In addition to the hurdles, Jones represents the Knights in the 60-meter dash while Smith qualified in the 400-meter dash.
