Sharma Named Player of the Week

ORLANDO, Fla. – After an undefeated weekend, Nandini Sharma was named the American Athletic Conference's Player of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday.
 
The honor marks Sharma's second of her career and the fifth for the Knights this season.
 
 The Knights went undefeated over the weekend with wins over Yale and No. 66 FAU. Sharma herself went undefeated in both singles and doubles.
 
In Thursday's match against Yale, Sharma teamed up with Sophia Biolay to get a 6-3 win on court two. In singles, she made a big comeback to win 1-6, 6-1, 6-4 on court six.
 
On Sunday's home finale against FAU, Sharma and Biolay continued their momentum with a quick 6-0 decision on court two while in singles, Sharma earned another quick 6-2, 6-3 decision to help the Knights sweep the Owls.
 
Nandini Sharma extended her singles winning streak to eight straight, helping the Knights to a five-match win streak.

UP NEXT
The Knights will close out the regular season on the road against conference opponents. UCF will first travel to Dallas, Texas to face SMU on Friday, April 8, before heading up to Tulsa, Oklahoma on Sunday, April 10, to take on Tulsa.
