UCF Heads To UVA Invite

ORLANDO – The UCF rowing team is back in action on Saturday, making the first road trip of the season. The Knights are in Charlottesville, Virginia for the UVA Invite.
 
Racing begins at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, with the Varsity Eight slated for an 8:40 start. The Second Varsity Eight follows at 9 a.m., with the Varsity Four racing at 9:20. The Second Varsity Four races at 9:40 a.m. and the Third Varsity Eight rounds out the morning session at 10 a.m.
 
The racing order reverses in the afternoon, with the 3V8 starting the Knights off at 12:10 p.m. The 2V4 follows at 12:30 p.m. and the V4 races at 12:50 p.m. The 2V8 races at 1:10 p.m. and the V8 rounds out the weekend at 1:30 p.m.
 
In addition to the Knights and the host Cavaliers, Tennessee and North Carolina will race at Rivanna Reservoir.
 
UCF opened the season with a sweep of Jacksonville and UConn on Lake Pickett. Following the opener, the Varsity Eight was named the American Athletic Conference Boat of the Week.
