ORLANDO – A strong start to the outdoor season led Ciara Holback to the American Athletic Conference Track Athlete of the Week on Tuesday afternoon.
Holback had a pair of podium finishes to open the outdoor season at the Black and Gold Invitational. She placed second in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.57 on Friday and then ran a personal best 11.40 in the 100-meter dash to finish third.
The Jacksonville native collected her first Track Athlete of the Week honor. Holback carried her momentum over from the indoor season where she took second in the 60-meter dash at The American Championships.
The Knights return to action this week with the Knights Invite at the UCF Soccer and Track Complex. The two-day meet opens on Friday, March 25.
