ORLANDO, Fla. – The UCF women's tennis team is set for another three-match week, hosting BYU on Thursday, March 17, Harvard on Friday, March 18, and Oklahoma State on Sunday, March 20 at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Florida.
All matches will have live stats and will be live streamed.
The Knights are coming off a weekend of rest, but the last time UCF saw action was when it defeated Eastern Michigan, 6-1, and took down No. 17 Michigan, 4-3, at home. The Knights also faced the reigning national champions of No. 5 Texas but fell 0-4.
THE FIELD
THE COUGARS
No. 69 BYU is 6-8 on the season and 3-6 when on the road. The Cougars will come to Orlando after a 0-7 loss to Pepperdine.
UCF and BYU have one opponent in common so far as both teams defeated Baylor by a score of 4-3.
This will be the first meeting between the two teams in program history.
THE CRIMSON
No. 75 Harvard is 6-6 on the season and most notably, 0-3 when on the road. The Crimson was on a five-match losing streak before defeating Navy, 4-2, on Tuesday.
UCF and Harvard have only one common opponent this season as both squads have defeated Penn.
Harvard leads the all-time series, 5-1, over UCF but the two teams have not seen each other since 2012 when the Knights defeated the Crimson, 5-2.
THE COWGIRLS
No. 9 Oklahoma State is 11-1 this season but 0-1 when on the road as its only loss came to Ohio State in January. The Cowgirls will come to Orlando on a 10-match win streak.
Three Cowgirls are ranked in singles with No. 34 Mananchaya Sawangkaew, No. 40 Lisa Marie Rioux, and No. 82 Oona Orpana while three doubles teams are also ranked in No. 22 Ayumi Miyamoto and Rioux, No. 38 Sawangkaew and Martina Zerulo, and No. 63 Miyamoto and Sawangkaew
UCF and Oklahoma State also only have one common opponent of LSU this season and both teams took down the Tigers.
Next week, the Knights will look to face Yale while the Cowgirls swept the Bulldogs, 4-0, last month.
The all-time series between the two teams is tied at one all and the Knights defeated the Cowgirls just last season by a score of 4-2.
