Men's Golf Finishes Out at General Hackler Championship

ORLANDO – Second-year Knight Egor Eroshenko continued to build on a strong sophomore campaign over the weekend as he paved the way for the UCF men's golf team at the General Hackler Championship as the team finished in 13th place with a 879(+15) score.

Eroshenko turned in a par or better score in all three rounds, shooting 70-72-70=212(-4) to finish tied for 13th place. He has now finished within the top 20 at three different events this season.
 
Auburn won the championship with an 839(-25) total while Oklahoma State's  Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen led all golfers with an 12-under 204. Full results from the General Hackler Championship can be found on golfstat.com here.

Like Eroshenko, senior Johnny Travale also posted a 2-under 70 final round on Monday, placing him squarely at second on the team with a 218(+2) score, tying him for 40th place overall.

Senior Teddy Tetak tied for 51st place with a 76-73-72=221(+5) line, while freshman Jonah Leach and senior Luis Carrera shot both turned in a 229(+13) score to sit tied for 76th overall.
 
Playing as an individual, freshman Nicholas Estrada finished tied for 80th place with a line of 73-80-77=230(+14)

The Knights will take a week off of tournament action before they close out their season with back-to-back weekends at the John Hayt Collegiate and the Augusta Haskins Award invitational, taking place from March 27-28 and April 2-3, respectively.

The American Athletic Conference tournament will be held from April 22-24 in Brooksville, Florida.
