BIRMINGHAM, Alabama – Rayniah Jones collected First Team All-America honors and earned a spot on the podium with a third place finish in the 60-meter hurdles at the 2022 NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field Championships at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Alabama.
In one of the fastest 60-meter hurdles in collegiate indoor history, Jones ran her second-fastest time at 7.95 to finish on the podium. The Miami native closed the race strong and shaved a hundredth of a second off her time from the prelims for a third place finish.
Jones is now a First Team All-American in the indoor and outdoor hurdles.
Her third place finish earned six points for the Knights. UCF tied for 28th in the team standings.
UCF now turns its focus to outdoor action. The Knights host the Black and Gold Invitational on March 18-19.
