ORLANDO – The UCF women's golf team is gearing up for its second event of the spring as the Knights travel to Melbourne, Florida for the Moon Golf Invitational at the par-72 Suntree Country Club. The field features nine top 25 teams, including five in the top 10.

The invitational kicks off on Sunday, Feb. 20 and runs through Tuesday, Feb. 22, with teams teeing off in stroke play format beginning at 8:30 a.m. each day. Fans can follow along with scores live on golfstat.com here.

The 15-team field UCF prepares to take on over the weekend is one of the strongest the Knights have ever faced in the regular season, consisting of No. 3 South Carolina, No. 6 Arkansas, No. 7 Florida, No. 8 Virginia, No. 9 Alabama, No. 15 Baylor, No. 17 Auburn, No. 19 Duke, No. 21 LSU, Florida State, Louisville, Augusta State, Miami and North Carolina.

"This is the best field we will see all spring. If we can all be firing on the same cylinders this week, we can compete with some of the best teams in the country," said head coach Emily Marron. "We have a lot of talent on this team and feel that we have a chance to so some big things this season."

The Knights are coming off a week that saw them finish 11th with an 862(-2) score at their home event UCF Challenge. UCF's Tunrada Piddon, who posted a line of 67-71-69=207(-9) to finish tied for fourth, picked up American Athletic Conference Player of the Week for her performance in the event.

With their attention now set on the Moon Golf Invitational, the Knights will tee off at 8:30 a.m. on hole 10 Sunday morning, along with North Carolina and Florida. The UCF lineup will consist of Piddon, Zoe Allaux, Camille Banzet, Jess Baker and Alyssa Lamoureux.
