#19 Knights Top Tigers, 4-1

BATON ROUGE, LA. – The No. 19 UCF women's tennis team topped the LSU Tigers on Friday, February 18, with a score of 4-1 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
 
UCF started the night out right by clinching the doubles point.
 
Leading the way was the tandem of Evgeniya Levashova and Nadja Bay Christians as they defeated Nina Geissler and Mia Rabinowitz on court two with a score of 6-3.

Marie Mattel and Noel Saidenova couldn't get it done on court one as they fell to Maggie Cubitt and Safiya Carrington, 4-6, so it came down to court three where Sophia Biolay and Nandini Sharma faced Taylor Bridges and Rania Azziz. The duo grabbed the 6-4 win to clinch the doubles point.
 
In singles action, court one was all No. 48 Evgeniya Levashova as she defeated No. 82 Safiya Carrington by a score of 6-3, 6-1, to help the Knights go up 2-0.
 
No. 121 Marie Mattel kept the momentum going with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Nina Geissler on court four, extending UCF's lead to 3-0.
 
Nadja Bay Christians was out to a great start on court three but fell to Maggie Cubitt on court three due to retirement, 6-3, 0-6, 0-1.
 
On court six, Nandini Sharma earned another point for the Knights with a 6-4, 6-4 win over Rania Azziz to clinch the match for UCF, 4-1.
 
Noel Saidenova was on top on court two over Taylor Bridges, but the match went unfinished in 6-3, 3-6, 2-1. On court five, Sophia Biolay was making a comeback against Mia Rabonowitz, but her match also went unfinished in 5-7, 5-1.
