Orlando – The UCF baseball team opens their season with a three-game series against Siena at John Euliano Park. All three games will be streamed on ESPN+.
Head coach Greg Lovelady enters his sixth season at UCF with a record of 281-154 all-time and 157-98 as the Knights skipper.
The Black and Gold finished the 2021 season 31-30, with an 18-14 record in American Athletic Conference play, and advanced to the championship game of the AAC Championship in Clearwater, Fla.
The Knights welcome 18 newcomers, featuring seven players with collegiate playing experience and 11 freshmen.

- The Knights have started strong on Opening Weekends with a 35-16 mark all-time on Opening Knight and a 90-35-1 record in the opening series.
- Alex Freeland, Gephry Pena, and Tom Josten were named to the American Athletic Conference preseason all-conference team.

UP NEXT
The Knights will travel to Jacksonville to take on North Florida for a midweek game on Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. After that they will head to Statesboro, Ga. to face Georgia Southern in a three-game set.
