Piddon Named Conference Women's Golfer of the Week

ORLANDO – Following a solid opening to the spring season, UCF women's golf junior Tunrada Piddon was named the American Athletic Conference Golfer of the Week, the conference announced on Wednesday.

The Golfer of the Week award marks the first of Piddon's career, but she has also twice been named AAC Golfer of the Month (October 2021 and October 2019).

"What a great start it was to the spring season for Pat," said head coach Emily Marron. "She has been working really hard and is committed to playing her best each and every event. Pat is such a consistent player and will always put herself in a position to compete for titles in every event we play."

Piddon picks up the honor after posting a line of 67-71-69=207(-9) to finish tied for fourth at the UCF Challenge from Feb. 6-8. Her round one score of 5-under 67 tied the lowest par-72 round of her career. The Thailand native leads all Knights with a 70.53 scoring average to this point in the season.

With the UCF Challenge now in the rearview mirror, the Knights will be back in action this weekend for the Moon Golf Invitational in Melbourne, Florida. The invitational kicks off on Sunday, Feb. 20 and runs through Tuesday Feb. 22.
