ORLANDO, Fla. – The UCF women's tennis team has signed Jantje Tilbuerger who will join the Knights for the 2022-23 season, head coach Bryan Koniecko announced on Monday.
Jantje Tilbuerger hails from Ganderkesee, Germany where she attended ILS and comes to UCF as a key addition. Tilbuerger ranked as high as No. 51 in the nation and has won a total of 15 tournaments. She has posted notables wins over No. 438 in WTA rankings and over ITA's currently ranked No. 2 Hamner and No. 25 Fiquet in 2021.
Tilbuerger has a career-high WTA rankings of No. 742 in singles and No. 1050 in doubles.
"I chose UCF because I am impressed by the athletic concept, I like the coaches and the team," said Tilbuerger, "I really like Orlando as a location, and I'm convinced I can improve my tennis and have a good academic experience."
Tilbuerger is the first newcomer to the Knights' roster for the 2022-23 season, helping boast an already impressive roster.
