ORLANDO – The UCF men's golf team opened its spring season at the Gator Invitational on Saturday in Gainesville, Florida, posting a combined score of 571(+11) over two rounds of play to sit in 12th place overall.
UCF senior Luis Carrera led the charge for the Knights, posting 1-over 71 round one before following it up with a 3-under 67 round two to bring his total to 138(-2), tying him for 11th place.
Not far behind Carrera was a pair of Knights tied for 37th in Clement Charmasson and Teddy Tetak. Charmasson, the most experienced Knight on the squad, opened with a 1-over 71 before following it up with a 2-over 72, while Tetak shot 69(-1) and 74(+4).
Rounding things out for the Knights, American Athletic Conference October Player of the Moth Johnny Travale posted a combined 147(+7) score over the first two rounds of play, and Egor Eroshenko turned in a 148(+8) day one score.
Playing as an individual, UCF senior Markus Braadlie is currently tied for 60th place after shooting 76(+6) and 71 (+1).
