ORLANDO – The UCF men's golf team is set to kick off its spring season over the weekend as the Knights will open the year at the Gator Invitational, hosted by the University of Florida.
The tournament will kick off on Saturday, Feb. 12 and run through Sunday, Feb. 13, at Mark Bostick Golf Course in Gainesville, Florida. The course will play at a par-70 and measure approximately 6,701 yards. Fans can follow along with scores live on golfstat.com here.
The tournament will open with a 36-hole round on day one before wrapping things up with an 18-hole final round on Sunday, with teams teeing off in an 7:45 a.m. ET shotgun start on Saturday and an 8:00 a.m. ET shotgun start on Sunday.
The field of competition the Knights will take on over the weekend includes No. 3 Oklahoma State, No. 23 LSU, No. 24 Liberty, No. 25 South Florida, Missouri, FAU, Florida, FGCU, Georgia Southern, Jacksonville Penn State, UNCW and West Virginia
With the first official qualifier of the spring in the books, the Knights will roll out Johnny Travale, Teddy Tetak, Egor Eroshenko, Clement Charmassona and Luis Carrera to open the new year.
Markus Braadlie will compete as an individual in the Gator Invitational.
QUALIFYING INFORMATION
- Johnny Travale – will play in the first spot in the lineup at the Gator Invitational as a result of winning the Carolina Collegiate in the fall. The win earned him an exemption into this event.
- Teddy Tetak – will play in the second spot in the lineup at the Gator Invitational as a result of finishing 22nd place at the Isleworth Collegiate. The top 25 finish earned him an exemption into this event.
- Egor Eroshenko – will play in the third spot in the lineup at the Gator Invitational as a result of winning the five-round qualifier with a score of +5.
- Clement Charmasson – will play in the fourth spot in the lineup.
- Luis Carrera - will play in the fifth spot in the lineup.
