UCF Adds Emma Truluck to 2022 Roster

ORLANDO, Fla. – The UCF volleyball team announced the addition of Emma Truluck to the 2022 squad on Thursday.
 
Head coach Todd Dagenais along with associate head coach and recruiting coordinator, Jenny Maurer, and other members from the staff, brings in the five-eight outsider hitter and defensive specialist to improve on an already impressive roster.
 
Emma Truluck will come to UCF from nearby Ocala, Florida where she was a four-time letter winner and three-time MVP at Forest High School.
 
"Emma is a very rare player in volleyball," head coach Todd Dagenais said, "You look at her height and say, well there's no way she can play power five in the front row but I think a coach looking at her that way would make a mistake because she's such an effective back row attacker and scores points. She plays an unnamed position in volleyball.
 
"We can't wait to get her in the gym and she how she acclimates to our style of volleyball and see exactly how we can use her skill set to its greatest advantages."
 
In her four years as a Wildcat, Truluck posted over 1,000 career kills and 1,000 career digs. She was named Class 6A Player of the Year, MVP all-time career, and Mrs. Volleyball runner-up during her senior campaign. Truluck broke the school kill record and was named to the All-State Team in her junior season. She was also named Offensive Player of the Year as a sophomore and Defensive Player of the Year as a freshman.
 
Additionally, she played club for Ocala Power United where she earned First-Team USAV Nationals 2021, AAU MVP 2020, and Team Florida High Performance Indoor 2019.
 
Truluck chose UCF because of the campus, coaches, program, and location.
 
Truluck joins Abby Schomers (Omaha, Nebraska) as a newcomer to the 2022 volleyball roster.
