No. 11 UCF Set For Final Tune Up at Miami Invite

ORLANDO, Fla. – The UCF men's tennis team is set for its final tune up before the 2022 dual match season begins at the Miami Invite on Friday-Sunday, January 7-9, in Coral Gables, Florida at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center.
 
No. 11 UCF, Miami, No. 3 Texas, and No. 8 Georgia will all be in attendance at the invite. This will be an early chance for the Knights to see the likes of the Longhorns and Bulldogs who they will see later in the dual season.

The ITA released the preseason top 25 team rankings and UCF will begin the season where they left off at No. 11. The Knights are set to face eight teams currently ranked, including five in the top 10. To see the full list, click here.
 
The Black and Gold last saw action at ITA Fall Nationals where the duo of Trey Hilderbrand and Bogdan Pavel advanced to the Elite Eight while Hilderbrand made it to the round of sixteen in singles.
 
After a strong fall campaign, Hilderbrand secured a Top-20 ITA end of the year singles ranking of No. 16. This is his highest singles ranking of his career.
 
Hilderbrand teamed up with Pavel earned and the pair earned the No. 22 spot in the ITA end of the year rankings while Hilderbrand and Lleyton Cronje checked in at No. 41.
 
UP NEXT
The Knights will open the 2022 campaign at home against No. 8 Georgia on Monday, January 17.
