UCF with Five ITA End of the Year Rankings

ITA Rankings

ORLANDO, Fla. – The UCF women's tennis team was seen five times in the ITA's End of the Year Rankings, three more than in the preseason rankings after a strong fall season.

Three Knights earned rankings in singles while two doubles teams were also ranked.

Leading the way was Evgeniya Levashova as she moved up 43 spots from the preseason to No. 37 after making it to the final four at the ITA Regionals this fall.

Not far behind was Valeriya Zeleva who is now ranked No. 64.

Jumping into the rankings for the first time this season, Marie Mattel earned the No. 102 spot after a strong fall season where she made it to the elite eight at the ITA Regionals.

After not having a  doubles team ranked in the preseason, the Knights grab two top-60 rankings. The duo of Levashova and Zeleva cracked into the rankings at No. 50 while Mattel and Nandini Sharma earn the No. 55 spot with a sweet sixteen appearance at regionals. This is the first doubles rankings for Sharma in her career.
