Rosa to Attend MLS College Showcase

MLS College Showcase Release

ORLANDO, Fla. – After a great season at the left back position, sophomore Anderson Rosa has received an invite to the 2021 adidas MLS College Showcase.

The second edition of the adidas MLS College Showcase will take place from Dec. 10-12 in conjunction with the 2021 NCAA Men's College Cup in Cary, N.C. The event will feature 44 top college players, ranging from freshmen to graduate students, participating in a series of training sessions, testing, interviews, and match play. This event will allow MLS clubs to scout and interact with potential MLS SuperDraft selections across different stages of their collegiate careers without jeopardizing players' collegiate eligibility.
Eleven players who participated in the 2019 adidas MLS College Showcase are currently on MLS rosters, including 2019 alumnus Cal Jennings who is currently a part of LAFC.
Rosa joins Jennings and Louis Perez as participants in the two editions of the adidas MLS College Showcase, as both participated in 2019 and are currently in professional soccer, with Perez most recently playing for Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC.
The Salvador, Brazil native has made a big impact on the team during his first two seasons as a Knight. After being named the country's No. 14 freshman by TopDrawer Soccer, Rosa went on to be unanimously named to the American Athletic Conference's All-Rookie Team as well as landing a spot on the All-Conference First Team. He competed and started in every match during the 2021 campaign, collecting a goal and four assists across more than 1,500 minutes of match action. Rosa's performance this fall earned him a spot on the conference's Second Team as well as being named TopDrawer Soccer's No. 72 player in college soccer at the midway point of the season.
