ORLANDO – UCF women's soccer head coach Tiffany Roberts Sahaydak announced an addition to the roster on Thursday, bringing in midfielder Annika Huhta from the University of North Carolina.
"We're very excited to welcome Annika to the UCF family," Roberts Sahaydak said. "On the field, she's an incredibly technical player with great attacking qualities. However, her personality off the field will help to strengthen our team just as much.
"It's easy to see that she loves the game and loves connecting with people," Roberts Sahaydak continued. "We can't wait to get her on campus."
Huhta, a native of Finland, appeared in 11 of 18 games for the Tar Heels last season as a true freshman.
Huhta also played for the Finnish U-17 national team in 2018 and the U-19 team in 2020, scoring nine goals and recording nine assists in here international career. She also appeared in one game for HJK Helsinki in 2020.
She joins previously announced additions of Audrey Black, Jessica McCullen and Polly Watson as the newest Knights for 2022.
