Darya Rajaee Earns Scholar All-America Honors

ORLANDO – The United Soccer Coaches announced the association's 2021 men's and women's Scholar All-America Teams on Thursday, and UCF's Darya Rajaee was among those honored for her outstanding performance in the classroom and on the pitch this past season.

Rajaee, who is pursuing her master's degree in Kinesiology, is only the ninth Knight to earn this honor and the first since teammates Tisha Jewell and Aline Reis did in 2011. A third-team honoree, Rajaee was among 40 student-athletes playing Division I women's soccer and one of just 13 midfielders honored.

A native of Gainesville, Rajaee was this season's AAC Midfielder of the Year and a first-team all-conference member. She also earned United Soccer Coaches Association second-team All-South Region accolades.

Rajaee scored a career-high three goals and tallied three assists during her senior season in 2021.

She posted a 3.96 GPA this semester while working towards her master's degree in Kinesiology.
