ORLANDO, Fla. – Highlighted by hosting the ITA Kickoff Weekend for the first time in program history at the USTA National Campus, the UCF women's tennis team has released their challenging, 2022 dual match season schedule.
 
The Knights will play 19 regular season dual matches with 11 of them at home. Most notably, 16 of the 19 opponents were ranked in 2021, including three of the top-10 teams of No. 1 Texas, No. 6 NC State, and No. 9 Virginia. UCF saw 10 of the 19 teams last season and only dropped three matchups with notable wins over Oklahoma State and Miami twice. To view the 2022 spring schedule, click here.
 
UCF will open the season, hosting the ITA Kickoff Weekend for the first time in history on January 28-29 against No. 50 UC Santa Barbara and No. 22 Auburn or No. 31 Arizona State.
 
The Knights will begin the month of February with a match against Georgia Southern at home on the sixth. National Indoors is set for the following weekend in Stillwater, Oklahoma. They will then travel for four-straight matches, facing No. 9 Virginia on February 12, No. 17 LSU on the 18th, No. 20 Miami on February 20, and No. 38 FIU on the 21st. UCF returns home for a big weekend against No. 24 Oklahoma and No. 14 Baylor on February 25th and 27th respectively.
 
UCF will be home for all but one match in the month of March, opening with No. 16 Michigan on March 5, followed by the defending national champions, Texas, on the sixth. The Knights then head to No. 6 NC State on March 12 before returning home against N0. 74 BYU on the 17th and Harvard on the 18th. Shortly after, UCF will host No. 39 Oklahoma State on the 20th and No. 52 FAU on the 27th.
 
The Knights will then face conference foes while on the road in the month of April, beginning with No. 45 SMU on April 8, No. 48 Tulsa on the 10th, and South Florida on the 16th.
 
The American Athletic Conference Tournament is set for April 21-24.
 
UCF is ready to build off a historic season where it went 20-5 overall and undefeated in conference play. The Knights won their second-consecutive AAC title with a win over Tulsa in the conference tournament championship match. UCF also made a Sweet Sixteen appearance in the NCAA Tournament and finished the season ranked 11th in the country.
