ORLANDO – Riding a four-game win streak, the UCF women's basketball team returns to action on Thursday, hosting Arkansas in Addition Financial Arena.
 
The game tips at 6:00 p.m. ET and will stream on ESPN+.

PROMOTIONS
The annual UCF Basketball Toy Drive will take place prior to the game. The Knights will be collecting new, unwrapped toys to donate to domestic violence shelters for a campaign that was started by former Knight Aliyah Gregory
 
There will also be a Teddy Bear Toss at halftime.
 
The first 200 UCF students at the game will get an ugly Christmas sweater t-shirt.
 
KNIGHT NOTES

  • The Black and Gold defense remains one of the best in the nation as UCF ranks third among Division I teams, limiting opponents to just 43.2 points per game.
  • The Knights return stateside after a 2-0 performance at the Cancun Challenge, topping Idaho State and USC at the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya.
  • Diamond Battles was named the Riviera Division MVP and collected all-tournament honors after averaging 18.5 points per game, 4.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.5 steals per contest.
  • Brittney Smith joined Battles on the all-tournament squad, averaging 10.5 points per game on 66.7 percent shooting in Mexico.
  • Destiny Thomas pulled down a career-best 12 rebounds in the win over USC, bumping her team-leading average to 8.5 boards per game.
  • Alisha Lewis leads the Knights with 2.5 steals per contest.
  • The Knights have appeared among the teams receiving votes in three straight USA Today/WBCA Top 25 polls.

 
SCOUTING ARKANSAS
Arkansas currently sits at 6-1 overall and brings a four-game win streak into Orlando. The Razorbacks' lone loss came on Nov. 14 at No. 2 UConn and the team is receiving votes in both the AP and USA Today/WBCA Top 25.
 
Arkansas averages 85 points per game, which ranks eighth nationally, and just 10.7 turnovers per game, which ranks fourth. Four Razorbacks average double figures, led by Erynn Barnum's 12.4 points and 6.1 rebounds per game. Samara Spencer (11.6), Amber Ramirez (11.3) and Makayla Daniels (11.0) join Barnum in averaging double figures.  Barnum and Daniels also lead the team in steals with 1.7 per game.
 
Thursday marks just the second meeting between UCF and Arkansas. The Razorbacks hold the lone victory, a 101-74 decision on Dec. 13, 1985.
