ORLANDO – The UCF Women's Golf team and head coach Emily Marron secured their first addition to the class of 2022-23 on Wednesday as the team announced the signing of Pimpisa "Sandwich" Sisutham to a national-letter-of-intent.
A native to Thailand, Sisutham's resume speaks for itself. She was a two-time player of the year on the Chang-AMG Thailand Junior Golf Tour. In 2021, she won five of eight tournaments and ended the season with 5,150 out of 5,950 possible points to secure the honor. The year before, she won four tournaments and ended the season with 4,787 out of 6,300 points.
"Sandwich will be a tremendous addition to our team," said Marron. "She brings with her a great resume and has competed on the highest levels in Thailand. I fully see Sandwich as being a big part of our success as soon as she gets here and having a big impact on our program"
Sandwich also qualified to represent Bangkok in the 47th Thailand National Sports in 2022. She also finished as the first runner-up overall at the Singha-BGC 7th Thai LPGA Championship in 2021 at Watermill Golf Club and Resort with scores of 68-70-66=204(-12), and helped the Bangkok Women's Golf Team to Thailand National Student Sports 2019 and 2020 consecutive wins.
Sandwich joins current Knight Tunrada "Pat" Piddon as native Thailanders on the squad.
