ORLANDO – The UCF men's basketball team signed twins Taylor and Tyler Hendricks out of Fort Lauderdale to National Letters of Intent on Wednesday, head coach Johnny Dawkins announced prior to the Knights' season opener.
"Taylor and Tyler are two talented young men and we are excited to bring them into our UCF Family and the UCF community," Dawkins said. "They're not just bringing their great talent to our team, but as local Floridians and brothers, they're bringing another element to what we can do in the community."

Taylor Hendricks, a 6-foot-9 forward, is the highest ranked prospect to sign on to play for the UCF men's basketball team. A consensus four-star recruit, Taylor is currently ranked as the 54th best player in the nation by ESPN.
"Taylor is a versatile forward," Dawkins said. "When you combine that with his size, it makes him a unique player for us."
Tyler Hendricks is a 6-foot-5 guard, and along with Taylor, helped lead Calvary Christian to the Florida 3A state championship as a junior in 2020-21. Rated a three-star recruit by ESPN and Rivals, Tyler averaged 5.3 points per game last season.
"Tyler is a great all-around player that can shoot and hand the ball," Dawkins said. "Teams will have to respect him from the perimeter."
Taylor led Calvary Christian with 14.1 points, 9.1 rebounds and 2.1 blocked shots per game as a junior during the 2020-21 season and had offers from Florida, Florida State, Miami, and LSU among others before choosing to play with the Knights.
The twins are the first members of UCF's 2022-23 signing class. The 2021-22 version of the Knights, meanwhile, are preparing for tonight's season opener against Robert Morris, which will tip at 7 p.m. from Addition Financial Arena.
