Levashova Competes on Day 1 of ITA All-Americans

CHARLESTON, S.C. – Evgeniya Levashova of the UCF women's tennis team competed on the first day of the ITA All-American Championships in Charleston, South Carolina.
 
Levashova opened tournament play in the qualifying singles first round with an attempt to making it into the main draw.
 
No. 80 Levashova took on the No. 27 Sabina Machalova from Ole Miss, who was playing as the No. 3 seed in the bracket. Levashova fought hard and nearly grabbed the first set, but ultimately fell with a score of 7-6(2), 6-1.

She will face Madeline Lamoreaux of Utah tomorrow morning at 9:00am in the qualifying singles consolation bracket.
 
Valeriya Zeleva will first see action on Wednesday in the singles main draw.
