TAMPA, Fla. – The UCF women's tennis wrapped up the Bedford Cup on Sunday, October 3, in Tampa, Fla. The Knights had a strong showing all weekend long after recording 14 total victories.
In doubles action, Nandini Sharma and Jaleesa Leslie paired up to take on Florida's Emily De Oliviera and Alicia Dudeney where the duo defeated the Gators with a score of 6-3.
In singles play, Anique Kattenberg picked up a win over Tess Menten with a quick decision of 6-3, 6-0.
Nandini Sharma came out strong in her lone singles match of the day but ultimately fell to Bente Spee in the 3-4 playoff with a score of 2-6, 6-2 [10-3]. Jaleesa Leslie also fought hard but was unable to overcome Sydney Berlin as she fell in 7-5, 6-4.
